House and Home

Play ground: A space for kids to play outside

Courtyard: A lawn with fountains and benches outside a building where people can sit

trash chute: A system for trash disposal

deadbolt lock: A kind of lock that is fastened from inside and does not have a key

fence: a wooden or metal railing that separates a house from the street

drive way: the path leading to garage

Screen door: a perepheral door in a house, usually to close the garage

shutters: wooden panels installed in front of the window to prevent wind

Storm door: a mesh door attached to the frnt door to prevent wind and dust

hedge: a structure made of plants that separates the house from the street

the pool was drained so that it doesnt capsize
